Every city booms with new and exciting, not-to-miss spots, and Baltimore City is no exception. In fact, Baltimore City’s hot spot is exploding into the destination dining scene among the foodie crowd, and the city offers countless unique attractions for after your belly is full. Below is a snapshot of some of the hottest Baltimore City attractions that have in-the-know residents and visitors buzzing.

Sandlot Baltimore– A seasonal favorite for Baltimore City’s hot spot is reopening for the season on May 5th, this beach bar summer stop in Harbor Point Baltimore offers a little bit of everything— from boozy slushies, and ice cream sandwiches to upscale small-plate pub fare with a side of volleyball, kids climbing zone, and now even an urban farm. Unveiling this summer, two hydroponic hoop houses will grow year-round crops to be used in dishes at the Sandlot Baltimore and other local restaurants. How’s that for a farm to table? The produce will be available for purchase at The Sandlot beginning mid-summer. Where else can you grab a spiked milkshake, artisanal lettuces, and a game of bocce ball?

Minnow Baltimore– Since this South Baltimore restaurant opened last year it has become Baltimore City’s hot spot in Federal Hill, Minnow Baltimore has been wowing its patrons with its regionally inspired seafood, thoughtfully curated wine list and creative cocktail program. Coming to you from the owners of La Cuchara Baltimore, Minnow is quickly swimming to the top of Baltimore’s best restaurants list with delicious plates like charred octopus and pickled Bronzino, and crafty sippers like house-infused turmeric and cinnamon vodka. Minnow also refines Baltimore’s brunch game by offering bottomless tapas for just $40 every Saturday and Sunday.

Pendry Baltimore– The lastest of Baltimore City’s hot spot and a great new addition to Fells Point.  Overlooking the historic Fells Point Waterfront, the Sagamore Pendry Hotel adds a pop of luxury to the cobblestone district. The boutique hotel extends its amenities to those who are not enjoying a stay in one of their 128 rooms and suites, such that the acclaimed Italian Rec Pier Chop House restaurant and The Cannon Room whiskey bar can delight anyone passing by. Pendry Baltimore features a private pool deck (seasonal membership available) with outdoor cabanas, a seasonal bar and grill, and a stunning panorama of Baltimore’s maritime skyline. Come revel in all the Pendry Baltimore has to offer!

Light City Baltimore– This is Baltimore City’s hot spot and annual favorite. The Light City Festival has become an annual destination for bright-eyed innovation enthusiasts all across the country. Light City Baltimore is the nation’s one of a kind large scale “light and ideas” festival. Between April 14-21, huge interactive light-based installations will go on display around Baltimore’s Inner Harbor while creative art, theater, and music presentations of all kinds happen in conjunction with idea-sharing workshops across the city. A one day visit to Light City Baltimore may not simply be enough to take it all in.

The 8×10 Baltimore– Baltimore City’s hot spot for a late night get-away.  Located in the heart of Federal Hill Baltimore, The 8×10 is a small music venue that attracts some pretty huge acts and a ton of positive energy. Those who gather to see shows here know that the intimate setting lends itself to making each fan in attendance feel like they are part of one music-loving family. The 8×10 Baltimore hosts everything from local residency show runs to well-known national acts and a whole lot of Grateful Dead cover bands. The venue focuses their musical offerings towards bluegrass, jam rock, electronic and EDM, funk and soul, and even has some hip-hop thrown into the mix.
